There is a foot lever for easy switching between wheeled mode and stationary, and an optional shelf for storing things under the planer. The top is MDF with predrilled holes for DeWalt 733,734, and 735 planers, though I used it for mounting a Makita planer(which required drilling my own holes of course). The assembly was easy with the only challenge being the foot pedal assembly. I mounted it inboard so that it does not interfere with traffic.
